About Us

The Arkansas Municipal League is a voluntary group of Arkansas cities and towns, and was founded in 1934 for a threefold purpose: to act as the official representative of Arkansas cities and towns before the state and federal governments; to provide a clearinghouse for information and answers; and, to offer a forum for discussion and sharing of mutual concerns.

The League is the channel through which the cities and towns of Arkansas make known their common aims and purposes and move together for the improvement of local government. League members are served in a variety of ways, through legislative advocacy, optional benefits programs, training and educational opportunities, and multiple publications.
